Arkansas Mayor Charged With DWI and Possesion of Drugs

April 4th, 2008 · No Comments

Tim McKinney, the mayor of Berryville was charged with driving while intoxicated and possesion of marijuana.  McKinney has been mayor since 1990 and his term ends in 2010.

“I’m not blaming anyone for this,” McKinney said. “I got into a situation I shouldn’t have, and I expect to be beat up [publicly ] over it. But I am sorry for the embarrassment I’ve caused the city and the people of Berryville.” Berryville City Council member Joel Gibson said that the arrest shouldn’t define his career.

“ He’s never had any problems before,” Gibson said. “I’m hoping in the end this makes a better man of him.”

It is important to understand that anybody can be charged with a DWI from public officials to regular citizens.  The sobriety tests are so subjective that sometimes it doesnt even matter if you were truly intoxicated or not.  If you need a top DWI lawyer contact Dallas DWI Attorney Mark T.
